MONDAY (6:40- 8:05 pm) 1 John, 2 Peter, and Jude (2 units)

     1, 2, and 3 John along with 2 Peter and Jude give us powerful truths pertaining to contending for and defending our faith in the midst of heresy and worldly living.  What is John’s great message to us? That God is light and God is love.   Therefore, to engage in fellowship with Him we must walk in the light and not in the darkness; and walk in love and not hatred.  This is our victory.  As we walk in the light, we will regularly confess our sins, allowing the blood of Christ to continually cleanse us.  Christ will act as our defense attorney before the Father.  We will not be overcome by falsehood.  Proof of our “walk in the light” will be keeping the commandments of God and replacing any hatred we have toward our brother with love.  Two major roadblocks to hinder this walk will be falling in love with the world and falling for the alluring lies of false teachers.  Together, these epistles give us a roadmap to walking in the truth and discerning and overcoming falsehood.  They tell us to be ready! Contend for the faith! Keep yourselves in God’s love! Pull the backslidden out of the fire! These are words of action and words of battle. These are our marching orders in the last days as the army of God. We are to know the truth, be ready to explain it to others, protecting them from heresy and harm, and attempt to pull those that are going down the wrong path out of the fiery flames of falsehood! This course will help you stand at attention and use the sword of the Spirit for victory. You will be better prepared than ever to defend your faith and contend earnestly for it. Will you answer the call?

God has created you a unique person who can accomplish things no one else on earth can. When you find out how to tap into the hidden power of your spiritual gifts you will become a world-changer–and a happier and more fulfilled person. This class will present gifts in a new and more powerful way than you’ve ever heard before. Come and be changed and empowered for life. 

     Character Development is a series of courses on the most important quality of a Christian: Christlike character. It’s the very opposite of the hypocrisy Jesus condemned in the religious leaders of His day. God wants us to walk in victory and become like His Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 8:28-29). Learning all about the Lord and the Bible is great. Learning to minister in power is wonderful. But if we do not develop His character we will eventually get shot down by the world, the flesh, or the devil. God has definite steps to achieve victory in each area of our lives and the twelve Character Development courses are where you’ll learn them.
